My Microsoft Sidewinder Forcefeedback 2 is giving me problems. I was using it for about eight hours, when all of a sudden the rudder stopped working. It actually just started working a little funny, then got worse, and now it doesn?t respond at all. All of the other axis?s and buttons seem to work fine. I?ve tried different drives under both 98 and W2K, and none of them show any input from the rudder. Any idea on what is causing this, or suggestions? I?ve looked through some stuff in the knowledge base and searched online but haven?t been able to find anything helpful.

I've had the same problem with my Logitech 3D stick. My guess is that the Z-axis (rudder) sensor got loose inside the joystick. If you don't mind, use a screw driver and open up the stick to check it. If the sensor is indeed in wrong place, then just place it back.
