Vance suggests seizing the assets of the Ford Foundation, because he disagrees with them.

Marco Rubio proposes a bill that would force corporations to only make decisions that maximize profit vs say making any 'woke' political statement. The bill seems like a stunt to feed to the rabid fascist base, because really, it has so many holes in it. But this is where the GQP fascist party is these days.

Moron dont understand that these corporations ARE following the money.
Minus cancel culture the majority people is backing their neighbors right and effort to pursue happiness, be that as a trans, gay, attack helicopter, - what the fuck ever floats my neighbors boat. Power to him. And corps is following this money. So.

Really funny that Vance and Fucker don’t talk about churches.

I have no doubt that Rubio’s proposal would appeal to the truly dim witted base of the GOP. The logical end of that process is global slavery for most and a unified world corporation that acts solely in its own self interest.

Truly these patriots are great conservative champions of free speech and small govt!

Edit: lol... Rubio's bill is absolutely laughable. Only someone with no knowledge of business would argue (much less introduce legislation that says) that a good business image and strong employee morale are inherently bad for shareholder profits.

Vance’s increasingly desperate attempts to get attention through being as aggressively shitty as possible are sad to watch.

They're not even pretending to care about capitalism and small govt anymore, and have gone straight to any big govt anti-capitalism they can find to use as a political weapon.

Is Vance just an undercover leftist? Not the first time he's made a statement like this.

Not to mention it would very likely run afoul of discrimination and harassment laws (if the situations like Activision-Blizzard, and many many others are anything to go by) as companies that intentionally willfully disregard treating all their employees and customers as equal based on things like race, gender, are very likely enabling such an atmosphere.

It's just stupid overall. So stupid I wouldn't mind seeing it pass just to watch it go in flames at the first court challenge. Does Rubio really believe (for example) that a Nike investor is going to make a successful argument that Nike's "wokeness" has harmed shareholder value when Nike's stock has consistently out-performed the market? Especially in the last 5 years.
And that's just one example. You could pick almost any company that the RWNJ's accuse of "wokeness," and it's almost certain their stock has performed.

It sure would be nice if one of resident Republicans would come into this thread (or any of many similar threads), and help us understand why Republicans are abandoning conservative principles in favor of culture wars, rabble-rousing, and power.

They obviously are going to do anything that aligns with being a populist. That is the new theme of the Republican Party.

You can't win without the Trump base in any of the red States. So you have shit politicians and shitty Republican voters racing to be the shittiest people possible, because that's what wins in a party that is vast majority shit.
