Rubens Tube: soundwaves with fire

I was thinking: why doesn't he play some music with it, and BAM! He plays some music with it.

I wonder how that would look with bass heavy HipHop, or Electronica music.

Why hasn't anybody implemented this? How old is this thing? I can't find any info on it on Wikipedia.
 
Too much air movement (bass) will lift the flames too high or extinguish them.

I actually saw one of these were the flames were created by a high frequency power supply (upward drifting plasma) and no speaker was needed because the flame itself was the speaker. Very eerie. :Q
