Rubbing stuck pixels

I have a stuck red pixel on my LCD and have tried rubbing it with a Q-tip, but it did not go away. For those of you who have sucessful experience in recovering pixels by the rubbing method, how long did you have to continue the rubbing? I am very cautious about damaging the screen by rubbing too hard, so if I should give up now, I would like to know...

Thanks

Apparently you are unfamiliar with LCD monitors. The application of sandpaper to the surface of the screen would undoubtedly cause irreparable damage. I appreciate the effort though!

o_0 Yep. Something tells me this pixel is never coming unstuck.

It didn't work for me either. I have a struck red pixel about 2cm from the bottom and 3cm from the right side... I really can only see it on dark backgrounds, so it doesn't bother me much.
