Rubber Pad for motherboard's P4?!?!

Hi

I will install my first P4 computer, and i read some page of the motherboard's manual and i see i need to place a rubber pad between the motherboard and the metal baseboard.

Do you think it s really important???
Or it s the samething of washers for the motherboard than i don t need to install.

Thx a lot!!!

Asus P4T's used to ship with this pad to be placed between the 'provided' Asus backing plate and the mobo. The rubber pad is not needed if your case is P4 ready...

It s the problem, when i received the P4T, it don t have any rubber pad

I will call my seller for he ship a other motherboard's pack

Everything is cool, new P4T's DO NOT COME with backer plate and rubber pads anymore. Asustek Tech support says your case should be P4 compliant by now...
