Playing RTCW again. Love that game. How does the New Order compare?

Interested in gameplay and story features. NOT graphics and tech stuff. Just your opinions, por favor.🙂

Gameplay in new order is awesome....You can dual wield any weapon and the more powerful weapons can take heads and other parts clean off. there is also some good stealth sections (if you choose) as well as some interesting challenges which reward you with certain perks....you can even play the old school castle wolfenstein in one area. With no MP to worry about, they focused pretty heavily on the story and have a lot of nice surprises tucked away as the story unfolds.

I played RTCW MP for many years but I can hardly remember the single player campaign to make comparisons.....regardless, if you like a good FPS, you'll dig new order.

I'd say if you like RTCW you'll like it. The play style is very close and there's a point in the game where you make a choice that gives you a second story line to play though. There are a bunch of secrets to find as well if you like that stuff. I'm playing through it for the second time.

Are you playing RTCW on Windows 8.1? I'd love to replay it if its compatible.

Playing ver. 1 on Win 7 64. No problems, and no patches, as most patches seem to address multi player. Runs flawlessly. I would assume would play on Win 8?

Not Steam, but using original CD's.

New Order is awesome, and definitely worth playing. The multiple timeline thing doesn't make that much difference, but you should check out each room of your base each time you go back. There are some interesting NPC conversations with the alternate characters....
