RTCW UNINSTALL

Hey!
I need some help removing rtcw from my system. Well after installing the 1.4 patch on the rtcw, i wanted to go back to 1.33, so i tried uninstalling rtcw from the program group but it wouldn't. Then i just deleted the rtcw folder manually (although i know i shouldn't have) and i tried installing it again but it gives an error message everytime when i try to install that rtcw is already installed on your system. I tried using the regedit.exe but it still wouldn't work, i couldn't find any rtcw line in the regedit.exe either.
Can someone please help me how to tackle this?, beside formatting my harddrive or something like that.

What's your O/S?

I recall one recent patch I applied (I think it was RtCW 1.4) that said it couldn't be uninstalled w/o uninstalling the entire game.

Did you try unstalling from the Control Panel . . . or use the Game's own uninstaller?

At this point I'd consider a new format/reinstall of your O/S. . . . other alternatives would be to use a Reg editor or perhaps create a new HD partition just for RtCW. (Probably what you don't want to hear.)

couldn't find any rtcw line in the regedit.exe either.

And you won't find any "RTCW" line so you need to look for something like "wolfenstein". After you delete all the entries you'll be able to install the game again.
