RTCW and Quake III question

Whats the command to find out how many FPS am I doing? BTW Quake III seems to run fine on my Athlon 1.2GHZ at 1028x768 with FSAAx2 enabled, but RTCW "Crawls" in that setting but runs smooth at default settings. WHat coud I do to speed this up so that it will run acceptable at 1028x768? I have Visiontek GeForce 2 GTS 32MB ddr and 512MB pc2100 ram.

RTCW is much more demanding than Q3, that card probably won't be powerful enough to handle the highest details and FSAA.

/cg_drawFPS 1 shows your current framerate.

So I would prolly need a GeForce 3 then

For your settings? Yes, you certainly would. In fact I'd recommend that you wait until the GF4s arrive next month and get one of those.

Ouch man. Looks like you're due for an upgrade. You have no idea what you're missing. Its not all about framerate, you won't see much a difference when enabling all those options at such a low res.

You gotta go to at least 1024x768 to get the high quality 512x512 textures. Load up a game like Giants on anything less than 1024 and you see a HUGE difference in texture quality.
