rtcw and kyro II

Right i've just installed RTCW and all I get is a grey screen. Audio is ok, but nothing but a grey screen. I've checked the RTCW support site and followed the work around for those of us Running Win 2k with a kyro vid card. The fix has done jack and now i find CS is running like a dog. I've got all the latest patches for Win 2k, vid, sound and RTCW. Also I've upgraded from Win 98se to 2k (so the damn vid card will work in the first place) Any ideas while i save up for a new vid card?

flash your motherboard bios. that fixed my problem with my kyro 2 and XP, but i don't know if that'll help in 2000.

Don't know what to tell ya. I've been using a Kyro II in Win2k with RTCW since the game came out and haven't had a problem. Have you tried using the reference drivers from PowerVR?
