RT7 Lite/Vlite for windows 7, pointless?

Am I doing something wrong here because I think it's kind of pointless. I've removed so many things from my windows installation that should total several gigs of space taken out of the install cd.

But even with all the stuff removed, a fresh installation of windows 7 still total 10gigs of hard drive used. WTF?

That's like no change from the default windows 7 installation cd.

it depends on what you use RT7lite for. i use it for integrating updates and adding some things to the install DVD. i remove very little with it for my installs. it is a great tweaker also

It depends on what you remove. For example, removing languages has little/no effect on installation size if you're going to install one language anyway.

I used to use it, but Microsoft's new tool MDT and WAIK basically do all of the same things and are completely supported by MS.
