RT314 and port fowarding, HOW TO ? :)

I am playing around with edonkey and overnet and have a Netgear RT314 router running WINXP. I am having trouble due to a blockage by my firewall it seems. I have seen where you can give the port (in this case 4662) permision to send and receive without firewall blockage and would like someone to help me with how to do this. I dont know very much about Routers other than what I had to do to set it up so if it is very complicated or if it leaves my network vulnerable just tell me it is not something I want to do.
