RT (Request Tracker), OneOrZero, or ZenTrack

Cliffs at bottom.

This is sort of a continuation of this thread I started and abandoned about 6 months ago. That's not really important though, and didn't turn out to be very informative.

In this previous thread I had mentioned I was liking GLPI, but that has since changed. I did actually use GLPI for a while but found it was TOO simple. I really missed the reporting and the ability to submit via email. Plus I had come across eGroupware which had ticket tracking integrated with project management integrated with web email, etc, which sounded nice at first. The ticket tracking was very lacking though so I've been waiting to see how turned out when v1.2 became final since the ticket tracking was being rewritten. Well, it is still a disappointment (although for stricly groupware - email and contact management, etc - it looks GREAT!).

Hence, I have revisited my search for ticket tracking/helpdesk management software. This time around I began with looking at RT and am liking it more and more as I've read about it and set up a basic install. BUT, I'm more familiar with php and OneOrZero uses php and looks to be just as popular as RT. ZenTrack is also one I'm considering because it seems to be very popular, but to a lesser degree than the other two.

So basically, let me know what you think of RT as compared to OneOrZero as compared to ZenTrack.

Cliffs:
I can't decide between RT (by BestPractical), OneOrZero, or ZenTrack (though only barely considering ZenTrack). Please help me decide.

Nobody here uses this stuff? You're really missing out. I think I'm leaning towards RT. I've set up installations of both, and both are probably equally good and equal feature-wise, but I THINK in RT I will be able to configure it to handle my department and also be used by our building maintenance department from the same installation but still keep everything pertaining to the departments seperate. with OneOrZero the only option would be to create two instances and then have to manage them both seperately.

I added a few more to the poll. I revisited GLPI and it looks like the latest version has some pretty nice features. They've also update the UI a bit and it looks quite nice. It still does not have email submissions, although it can do email notifications; and I don't like the fact that you can't hardly get any information in English.

Information Resource Manager is another on that I came across that look nice. It has pretty much everything and sounds like it was very popular a few years ago, but it has not hardly seen any development in the last 2 years.

I think for now I'm going to give up and continue on with our crappy Track-IT. They all look nice, but they all have something about them that I don't like, so why bother. I'll wait till next year and then see how things have developed...

I'm implementing RT3.4 for our helpdesk this week. Seems to work ok.

In your travels, have you seen a Resource Management open source program? Somthing where I can put in resources (machines or groups of machines) and projects/groups and and then assign the resources to the project for a period of time?

Yes, there is an add-on for RT called RTx::AssetTracker that adds, well, asset tracking. As far as assigning resources to a project, I know I've seen it. I don't think RTx::Assetblah will give that. I think maybe eGroupware has this (in addition to a million other things). Try looking on freshmeat, I know I've seen something.

Also, Sourceforge just had some awards thing that brought attention to a lot of really good FOSS apps. You might find a good project management app if you can find that awards site.
