Heh, while I've got you Netgear RT314 users handy...is it a good router? Should I get that or the Linksys Etherlink 4port 10/100 router?

Thanks. :)

Price is the same by the way...

I'm on a 311 with 3.20. I don't feel like upgrading because I use 10x instead of 192x. Of course I have a machine next to the router with a serial cable plugged into the management port so it wouldn't be THAT bad...

BTW, does this router support DMZ?

Default SUA-->internal IP should work but the thing is a lot harder to set up than a SMC Barricade.

Cheers!

I've got one of these things, and its starting to piss me off. It just looses its mind once and a while. It forgets to talk to @home to get its address. I just got off the ohone with support, and they had less of a clue than I did.

sharkeeper: No DMZ support on the RT311.

I have found a way to get DMZ with the RT-311!

Telnet into the router. Go to menu 15 SUA Server Setup. You will see something like this:

Menu 15 - SUA Server Setup

Port # IP Address
------ ---------------
1.Default 0.0.0.0
2. 0 0.0.0.0
3. 0 0.0.0.0
4. 0 0.0.0.0
5. 0 0.0.0.0
6. 0 0.0.0.0
7. 0 0.0.0.0
8. 0 0.0.0.0
9. 0 0.0.0.0
10. 0 0.0.0.0
11. 0 0.0.0.0
12. 1026 RR Reserved

Press ENTER to Confirm or ESC to Cancel:

Item number one is listed as default. Just set the IP address of the computer you wish to have DMZ access there and you're all set! Works like a charm for me.

Cheers!
