RSX Type-S or Civic SI Coupe?

Which one would you get? I personally like the look of the RSX better. The reason I post this is because supposedly Honda is going to stop production on the RSX this year because they have a car (SI coupe) already filling the sport coupe segment.

The RSX for looks/interior quality, Civic SI if you're going for speed. I take the RSX.

Civic Si >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> RSX

They got rid of the RSX because it costs more than the Si, but its performance is less than the Si.

the RSX might be more expensive and have 14? stock HP more, but the civic is SOOOOOOO much better looking on the outside and the inside guages are sooooo much better.

i own an 07 civic coupe EX and my friend just bought an o6 (last year being made?) RSX type s? and yes his car is more powerful but def inside and outside the coupe is better

so it comes down to what you want/like

i would choose the Civic or Scion tC or the new Altima Coupe 🙂

Altima Coupe

I almost bought the Scion tC, gorgeous car ont he outside, really cheap on the inside especially the sunroof thing. Same price as an ex civic coupe

the new altima coupe is reallllllly nice though

There is something wrong with the front bumper of the Altima. The rest of the car looks flowing and a bit aggressive, while that big black bar at the bottom of the bumper just ruins everything.

the interior looks a lot similar to my mazda3 gt... maybe its the bose system.

The thing is you can get a used RSX for a decent price.
Can't say the same thing about the Civic Si.
Unless you are dead set on buying a brand new car.

Lol - Um, no - they're discontinuing the RSX because Acura is moving upmarket. The Civic Si will take it's position in the overall Honda lineup in the US.

Yeah, that and probably also because the RSX and Civic Si are becoming a bit more similar than in the past, conflict of interest.

here's how I see it:

Pro's for the RSX:
No Drive By Wire like the Si - no throttle hang, the pedal is connected physically to the powertrain.
It's a hatchback
Better build quality - better paint
Acura service
Better resale
More dealer incentives - can negotiate price below MSRP.

Civic:
Optional Navigation
Futuristic Interior
LSD
......cheaper MSRp - but no deals?

I would go with the rsx, the dash is far superior, both have the same engines anyway, just the si has an lsd, so basically it's a choice of looks and options

If you are going to modify, it is easier to add kpro to the RSX than the civic SI. The civic SI uses an unusual MAF/MAP/IAT engine sensor setup that there is no ready solution for a programmable ecu.

Coincidentally, I had a RSX-S and it was a fun good car. Good on gas mileage as well. I also had a tC and that was okay but everybody and their mom has one now. Might as well get the more fun car, which seems relatively "newer" as well, meaning the Civic SI.
