rs480-m2 temp sensor problem?

Anybody own this motherboard and have temp issues. Its weird because i used to have a zalman and it would show 53c or up nothing below then i installed my amd stock and it still showed 53c or up. Is this my temp sensor crappin out on me or something else. I dont know if this would be a issue but one day my cpu fan died and the cpu was reaching 82c i shut it down as fast as i could and let it cool down. It seems fine now but would that be the problem?
I have a amd64 3200+. Would amd cover my cpu if it is damaged with warrenty because i just rma my vid card because of mutiple freezes i was thinking it was my cpu but i dont know. I dont get bsod from teh cpu so it may be teh sensor.
 
yep these are notorious for incorrectly reporting temp. Do a cold start and go straight to bios and see what the temp is . Also look up the msi support forums. Lots of people have the mobo reporting incorrect temps. Other than that its one kick ass board.
