RROD'ed Xbox 360

I have an old Xbox 360 that RROD'ed recently. I checked with Xbox Support and they said I would have to pay $100 to get it repaired. If I do go that route, would they give me one of the newer White 360s, with HDMI? Or would they just replace the motherboard inside?

You might be better off selling it on ebay, then getting a new slim 360. Not sure if you'd get a new 360, or a new motherboard if you sent it in.

I already bought a new slim to replace my rrod'ed xbox 360, but am considering getting my old one repaired and hooking it up in another room so i have netflix access on another TV and being able to play games when the slim is occupied.

I would think you would get a motherboard with HDMI but you would get a refurbed motherboard. They have refurbed systems on standby, they would likely send one out as soon as they get yours in.

Its a waste for $100. If you look hard enough 360's can be had all day long for around that.

You'd get a unit with HDMI. I went through the same thing. The experience was without incident.

If you want Netflix in another room it'd cost you about the same to get something else to stream it to those rooms but older 360's are too loud for my tastes in small rooms.
