RROD question

I have an xbox that is getting the checkerboard pattern on every single power on, but only about 50%-60% of the time does it show the RROD. Will MS still fix/replace it under the RROD warranty if it's not giving an RROD 100% of the time?

Hmmm, they should. If you want to be sure you get an RROD every time, just turn the sucker on and sit it on the carpet or something :). Sounds like it's already hosed, might as well help it along so Microsoft doesn't give you any problems.

I think it shouldnt be a prob. I doubt MS checks every single 360 coming in. I think they ship out replacements and the supposed bad one goes to some IT Dept and gets fixed there.

This will be the second time with this unit as far as I know ("bought" it used, it supposedly was already fixed for RROD once - which I trust it was).
