RROD question

I have an xbox that is getting the checkerboard pattern on every single power on, but only about 50%-60% of the time does it show the RROD. Will MS still fix/replace it under the RROD warranty if it's not giving an RROD 100% of the time?
 
Hmmm, they should. If you want to be sure you get an RROD every time, just turn the sucker on and sit it on the carpet or something 🙂. Sounds like it's already hosed, might as well help it along so Microsoft doesn't give you any problems.
 
I think it shouldnt be a prob. I doubt MS checks every single 360 coming in. I think they ship out replacements and the supposed bad one goes to some IT Dept and gets fixed there.

Same here, altho it was my third time. 🙁

This will be the second time with this unit as far as I know ("bought" it used, it supposedly was already fixed for RROD once - which I trust it was).
