What are the chances I got a new one or a refurbished one? I don't think they'd be able to fix it that quickly.
Anyone else get that kind of turnaround from MS?

Given that the stated turn-around is 1-2 business days, period, I don't think it means much of anything. I've always had 1 day turn-around, and never got a new one.
 
Yeah just look at your S/N.

The process has gotten much faster lately. I got a refurb less than 2 weeks after I requested the coffin.
