RR cable and ATI Wonder VE

I have a ATI Wonder VE card coming and want to hook it up to the line going to my cable modem. I assume I need a splitter but can someone tell me the name and type I need ?

I was told by RR that the cable TV signal is filtered out of the line going to the modem. I have not verified it; that is just what I was told.

I've seen some people posting that they just buy the modem service and then tap it to get free tv so I guess it depends on where you live maybe.
