RPM Sensor with 3/4 Pin Adapter

I recently bought a Delta Fan for my Thermosonic Thermoengine. I also went ahead and bought a 3/4 pin adapter so the fan doesnt burn out my motherboard connector by pulling too much power. But by doing so, the RPM sensor is no longer connected to the mb so I can't get a reading.

Has anyone tried any mods to hook up the rpm sensor and still use a 3/4 pin adapter?

Awesome! Should've got that cable from the beginning, oh well. Doesn't look to difficult to reproduce. I'll just modify this cable.
