RPC - interface not registered

I'm having a nightmare with my PC, and I now think that all my problems are down to the fact that when I go to the "remote procedure call" service and click on dependencies, I get the error "class: interface not registered"

I also get the same error on lots of other services that are dependent on rpc working properly.

Does anyone know how to get rpc service fully registered and working, which will then make all the other services start to work properly again and solve all my problems?

No...this just started happening for no particular reason.

The services are all "started" but just not working due, I believe to the RPC service having a problem.

I recently had Servicex problems causing a weird slowdown on an SBS Server. There was NOTHING else wrong with the Server that I could see. All Services were running.

On a hunch, I disabled all the eTrust Antivirus services, and the Server instantaneously recovered. You might try disabling your AV temporarily to make sure it's not causing the problem.
