Do they ever offer royalty fee credits?

Games for Windows is royalty-free, right?

Most of this isn't going to be public knowledge, but I would venture a guess in the $10 range per title. I'm sure if they are trying to get a game on the platform they'd be willing to waive royalties, that's going to be a case by case basis though.

At one time, XBox 360 royalties were closer to $18 per title, assuming only one disc. I have not bothered to check the sources recently, though. Now with real competition from Sony, and to a limited degree from Nintendo, that $18 figure may have dropped. You best bet for the latest data would be to search for budgeting numbers from the developers/publishers. Instead of a leak from a single company (MS), you now have info leaks from many companies.
