From the opening paragraph of the article:
"His name is Laurence Leavy, and he’s a lawyer from Miami who makes a point of (a) getting expensive seats to sporting events; and (b) wearing his Marlins gear while sitting in them."

That sounds like an attention-seeking troll, if you ask me. He's intentionally getting high-visibility seats and wearing the Marlins garb.

Of course he gets expensive seats. He's loaded. Would you sit in nosebleeds if you had another option? And he loves the Marlins. Nothing wrong with either of those things.

And I went to the Oregon/Washington game last weekend and wore my Navy jersey. No one asked me to leave.

Maybe the problem is the Royals and not the fan.

Find the biggest, widest, tallest people in the stadium wearing Royals gear
Offer those people the great seats in front of the attention whore
Give them free beer and hot dogs if they remain standing the whole game

Problem solved. Attention whore disappears behind a giant field of Royals blue.

Since when is it wrong to wear the wrong team jersey for a game? I mean, the normal thing to do is to probably wear a jersey for one of the teams that's actually playing but I don't see the big deal in wearing another team's.

The problem is this seat is right behind home plate so in almost every frame of a batter at bat.

As I said, if I was going to a baseball game I'd wear my Brewers jersey -- regardless of the stadium I was in. If I went to a NFL game, I'd wear my Packers jersey, regardless of the stadium I was in.

When they interviewed him on air, he said he wasn't wearing it because he was a marlins fan, he was wearing it because he wore it when the team he was watching at the time won the remainder of their games and he now considers it a good luck charm. He might be a fan, but that's not why he wears it. He wears it because of the "luck" it brings the teams.

So why was he wearing it the first time?
He's a Marlin's fan.... a Florida fan. That's why he wears their jersey first and foremost.

The funny thing now is, do you think he is not going to attempt to get that front row seat for EVERY sporting event he can now? I don't think this whole gambit of his started out as an "attention whore" as many people here claim, but you can be damned sure that he's going to keep this freight train rolling now.

Google "Front Row Amy" -- SHE is an attention whore (and a skanky one at that)

The point was, fans that pay that much for tickets usually get special treatment or perks that typically don't include being asked to change their clothes.

Not sure how the Royals thought they'd come out winners in that scenario.

The guy is an ass-hat. He had his visor turned sideways for part of the game.

It was great when they came and set up a camera right in front of him. He only had to move a few seats, but at least they found someway to f@ck with him.
