Roy Jones KTFO!

2nd Round, got hit hard and it was over for Roy.

They just showed the replay, Roy was out cold even before he hit the ground.

Roy Jones? Pound for Pound the best fighter in the world? Wow, did he look out of shape or is his skills just deminishing?

I'm guessing that he was in shape. The first time he was admittedly not up to snuff. He said he was dead serious this time.

It's just that the "pound for pound" thing is mostly hype. The last time they fought in Tarver-Jones I Tarver beat the hell out of Jones. Jones got given the decision in one of those unfathomable, likely rigged, boxing decisions, but Tarver won the fight. This time he didn't leave it in the hands of bought judges.

he's admitted his heart is not in the game anymore and his skills are diminishing... so i'd say both.

well last time he lost, he came back the knocked the sh!t outta that montell jordan dude. lets hope roy can come back with teh same kinda vengence 😛

also i was reading that he was looking past tarver (he was talking about tyson or klitchko)... so his ego prolly got the best of him.

oops... i meant montell griffin

DAMNNNNN ROY WTF !!!!!

Oh well there is always someone else out there, too bad roy had to go out like that in 2 rounds....:disgust:

Yeah, he's getting older, and his era is most likely coming to an end. We'll just have to wait and see if he still has the drive to bounce back from this, knowing that his future fights won't be quite as easy for him as his past ones have been.

I'm as big of a fan as anyone else, so hopefully Roy will let this be a wake-up call. That way he can come back, reclaim his titles, and retire a champion.
