roxio messes up doing cd to cd copy

i am running a 1.4 AMD on an ECS k7s5a. have a plexwriter16/10/40 and a pioneer dvd rom....roxio easy cd creator cd to cd copy doesnt work most times.... anyone know why this might be? running on win2k

If they are on the same IDE channel, the data flow can interfere with itself.

A work around for that with ECDC is to click on the Advanced button, and direct the data to copied to your HDD first. Then the new CD is copied from the HDD and not the CD. It is slower, but surer, and is the original poor man's "burn proofing."

You can also just use your burner as source and destination. I have had 1 so far that did not work, so I used clonecd. It was in no way protected either!
 
yea but if i click on the "copy source cd to harddrive fisrt" it tells me i dont have enuff space on my hD. and i have like 4.6 gigs empty. so i dunno wassup. also my friend uses the same setup and his works fine. the only thing i can think of is a hardware problem or incompatability?
