Roxio EasyCD Creator/DirectCD in Windows XP

I'm planning on doing an upgrade to XP from an existing installation of Win2k in the next day or two. At least until the XP upgrade comes out of EasyCD Creator and DirectCD 5 comes out, I'll be running the latest release of that software. According to the report generated by the XP compatability tool there should be no problem with EasyCD Creator as long as I uninstall before and reinstall after the upgrade ("Easy CD Creator 5 = To function properly, Easy CD Creator 5 must be reinstalled after you upgrade Windows."), but it looks like I might have problems with DirectCD. The report for this reads: "DirectCD = A driver is installed that causes stability problems with your system. This driver will be disabled, please contact the driver manufacturer for an update that is compatible with this version of Windows."

Had anybody tried to run the suite, especially DirectCD 5? Problems? Successes? Suggestions (besides switching to something else)?

Thanks!

DirectCD does cause a handful of problems, although i dont think any are serious in crippling your system. I dont know how much you really need it, but i do know that EZCD 5 worked just fine on my computer without problems. As did Nero.
