Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.0 Problems...

I'm trying to make a simple CD with some files on it. When I click to burn it, the program wants to copy all the files to a temp directory then burn form there. That adds a lot of extra time.
Does anyone have the same problem? The program's options menu is fairly cheesy.
 
After clicking Record CD

Choose Show Options (lower right-hand corner)
Select the "Record CD" radio button (left side)
