Roxio and In-CD CD-RW compatibility

I have just purchased a laptop with Roxio's CD writing (and re-writing) software on. When I transfer files from the PC with In-CD on to the laptop, on CD-RW, I'm unable to read the disc - It actual crashes XP - and also makes them unreadable in the original drive that wrote the files! Are there ways to make these to programs to be compatible so I don't have to worry my data integrity? Would using Roxio to format the discs help?

Many thanks.

As far as I know, these programs are totally incompatible. You are going to have to choose which you want to keep. If you want to transfer files on an InCD disk, uninstall Roxio first. After the transfer/copy the files, you can reinstall if that is what you want to use.

Sounds like the best idea - As long as my copy is not keyed to my other drive.

Thanks.

Thanks.

If you got Nero with a new drive and the software says something about "for use only", then names the drive, blah, blah, it may be keyed to that CDRW.
