row active delay timing

I can run my row active delay timing (aka active to precharge delay) at a timing of 2. Should i keep it at this timing? I see most people with it around 6ish or so. Y is that? If this needs to be a higher number, what is the logic behind this, and if not, should i keep it at 2?
