I wonder how many people will want to watch & listen to him. After all he has very little credibility left. Unless its a case of preaching to the choir.

I read somewhere that he was unable to sell is memoirs to any publisher for along time and when he did it was for a much lower price.

Ex-Bush aide Rove to join Fox News Channel
Mon Feb 4, 2008 3:20pm EST

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Karl Rove, the strategist behind President George W. Bush's ascendancy to the White House, will join Rupert Murdoch's Fox News Channel as a contributor starting with Super Tuesday, the network said.

Rove was chief strategist for Bush's 2000 presidential campaign and joined him in the White House in several capacities, including deputy chief of staff. He left the White House in August.

Rove has been contributing opinion pieces to The Wall Street Journal, which also belongs to Murdoch's NewsCorp, and will debut on the television network with live coverage on Tuesday of the biggest day of the presidential primary election season, Fox said on Monday.

Fox News Channel was the top-rated U.S. cable news network in 2007 in terms of viewership, ahead of rival CNN, according to Broadcasting & Cable magazine.

I see the Neoconservative connection to Rupert Murdoch is increasing. Good. Easier to spot. Thanks for this OP. I'll add this to my study :)

I thought Fox was fair and balanced? One might think they favor the GOP between this and Tony Snow....

[Rove] will join Rupert Murdoch's Fox News Channel as a contributor...

What exactly will he be "contributing" to? I think that term used to mean something more than being an asshole on TV.

I expect him to "contribute" his explanation of how everything that went wrong in the Bush administration was not his fault!!!!

How is this any different than Carvel being a contributor to CNN or giving Stephanopolous his own show on ABC?

Former administration officials of both parties eventually find their way on to op-ed shows. It's fairly common actually.

Oh wait, it's Fox. Hate away.

I can't wait until Rove is indicted. Recon the Federal Marshall's will arrest him on air and frog march Rove out? That that would be television worth watching. Lets see, Rove is already under a congressional subpoena or two as it is. But I think congressional testimony is more up cpan's alley.

Yep.

Otherwise, I wanna see him. For soo many years I've been hearing the Dems demonize him as an evil political genious yet I've seen no evidence of any "genious".

Must have read it on some bullshit Dem blog.

Typically bidding means like an auction. Highest bidder wins. I doubt they were bidding down
Rove's agent, attorney Robert Barnett, said Threshold was chosen over eight other bidding publishers. Threshold didn't say how much Rove would be paid, but the bidding reached at least $1.5 million, two publishing officials familiar with the bidding told The Associated Press

I am glad Fox gives conservatives a voice. Conservative simultaneous detonation from the pressures of verbal constipation would release more megatons of explosives than nuclear war.

Hey, let's not get conservatism confused with neo-conservatism. Neo-conservatism is not new, and certainly not anywhere near conservative.

Eh, Rove. I want to know what Bush is going to do next year and going forward. I mean there's only so much brush that needs clearing. I think goodwill ambassador is out. Stand up comedy?

Do those in the studio audience get to throw rotten tomatoes at Rove? Must resist urge to throw things at my own television set that inevitably follows Rove opening up mouth.

Actually it was a business item. His asking price was 3 Million so maybe this was a reverse auction.

What you posted were the comments of his agent. Obviously the agent is going to put a positive spin on things - thats what he's paid to do.

New low price!!

"The decision to join Fox News could be a move by Mr. Rove to get back into the public spotlight, particularly after an action for his memoir took over two months to generate a winning bid. Threshold Editions, Simon & Schuster?s conservative imprint, won the world rights to Mr. Rove?s as-yet-untitled memoir in December, but he failed to win the $3 million advance he was asking."
