Routing TV, XBOX, Laptop to Computer Speakers

This is for my dorm. I brought my subwoofer and left and right speakers from my Klipsch ProMedia 5.1 set to college.

Laptop
I'm using the audio-in that's on the side of the control tower of my speakers and connecting it to my laptop via a male-to-male 1/8th inch stereo cable.

XBOX
I also have a female red and white to female 1/8th inch converter to connect my xbox to the speakers using the same stereo cable.

TV
I then have a male red and white to female 1/8th inch to connect my speakers to my TV.

I can switch between all of these but that gets annoying. Is there any kind of router or large splitter that would allow me to connect all 3 of these (laptop, xbox, tv) to my computer speakers simulatneously?

it would be real easy if you had a desktop computer. Just get an Audigy2 platinum. It has enough connectivity for you. On the flip side, you might have luck with one of creatives external sound cards. Back in the day of the original extigy, i had nothing but problems tho. Just a thought.

Well, I'm not sure. I know that the laptop and the xbox works as described. I haven't actually tried connecting the speakers to the tv alone. And I guess that wouldn't really work now that I think about it. All there is are the red white yellow inputs on the tv and there would be nothing to send the TV audio to the speakers. How do you normally send audio from just a tv (no cable box, satellite box) to surround speakers?

to be honest, awesome! College kicks ass and I am meting a ton of new people. If you came home with gair and max, I might see you this weekend! if not. take it easy

you need a composite audio selector switch 3-way, plug in rca composite outputs of xbox and tv into inputs of switch, use a 1/8" stereo to rca composite audio wire to attach laptop to switch input, use another 1/8" stereo to rca composite audio wire to attach switch output with klipsch input.

note: most audio selector switches are both audio/video, but you can just use it as audio. they are relatively cheap (under $15) and can be found on ebay. rca composite to 1/8" stereo wires can be found at your local radioshack.
