Routing traffic through a PC running Windows XP

This is all theoretical as I really have no purpose to be doing this, but let's say you have 2 PC's, 1 having a wireless card, the other not. If there's a wireless access point nearby, could you use the PC with the wireless card in it to route traffic through its ethernet ports so as to connect with the other PC?

Diagram:

If the router uses something other than 192.168.1.1 for a gateway, then you can do that with Internet Connection Sharing (ICS).
Connect to the router, then share the wireless connection.

You would need a crossover cable between the 2 ethernet ports if you are not using a switch.

you can use a regular straight-through cable if you have gigabit nic's on both ends...most do auto-mdix
