Routing my computer through a projector

Actually, the CCC isn't finding the projector at all. Here's the details: I have a X1300 GPU that is currently plugged into my LCD monitor. I've hooked it up to a Panasonic PT-L797U projector by adapting a composite video cable to the s-video plug on the back of the card. I've tested the prjector with my PS1, and it works fine, but CCC doesn't acknowledge the projector as a display. What am I missing? I tried forced detection, but still nothing.
