Im looking to get the internet in my room as well as on this computer. So i need a good router. I need one that i can find at a local store like target. Which do you recommend?

Should i get a wireless router? Which lag less?

And can someone give me a guide?

I was thinking this router

If i get this one it says its wireless so do i need a wireless card or can i still run a cable?

Yeah, Wireless Cable/DSL Routers have 4 ports for wire computers as well.

When it come to local stores, it is hard to make a recommendation, the Linksys that you mentioned can function in an acceptable way if it flushed with 3rd party firmware.

It a little over priced as compare to on line deal that offer better hardware for $30 less.

I cannot offer you an alternative since who know what stores available to you locally and what they have in stock.

As an Example CompUSA has the same Router with additional $20 rebate.

Each Router comes with its own specific guide.

Follow the guide and if you have any specific answer, myself or and other members would be glad to help you.

You need a Cable or DSL Modem plugeed into an ISP's Connection.

You plug the Wireless Router into the Modem.

You plug any Wired computer into the Router, and or, you use Wireless computers with the Router's Wireless part.

In general it looks like this, http://www.ezlan.net/network/router.jpg

I would get the cheapest wired router out there - they are basicly the same, or wait and get an new wireless n. g is ok but if you are getting wireless now i would recomend waiting and get a 802.11n router.
