Router with One Way Cable Modem

Hi guys,

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving. Anyway, I have a problem. Those of you who also live in the north east porbably know about RCN communications. Well they are my ISP (cable) but it is only single way for right now. My problem is I purchased a Linksys EtherFast Cale/DSL Router and it will not work. After calling them all they said was the service does not support networking and to disconnect my router. I did and it works fine but I would enjoy the security and peace of mind it offers (and full duplex networking !!!!). If any one has any comments or suggestions on how to connect a single way cable modem to a router i would appreciate any replies or suggestions.
Thanks😕

Well, you would have to have a router with a dialup module. Your SOL with the linksys.
