Getting my Small Business Server 2003 install going and now I need a new router. My trusty old Belkin has a NAT with only 25 entries. I have another 3COM router that has a dynamic NAT but it is not a true NAT (you can reassign IP's but not ports). Of course the Belkin lets you reassign ports, but I need more than 25 entries. I'm thinking Linksys has some. But I'm having trouble finding one that definetly has both the ability to reassign ports and is dynamic in size. Anybody know of one? Exact model #'s?

I'm not sure what you're asking here. Nearly every SOHO router for several years offers dynamic NAT, usually with far more than 25 connections. (more like 1000 or more)

Are you talking about Static DHCP assignments?

Port forwards?

Clarify, please.

Both static DHCP and port forwards. My Belkin only has 25. But then again, it is from 2003.

Number of IPs available through DHCP is more than 100.

Static DHCP, if existing is the same.

So the only thing that left is need to open more than 25 Ports toward the Internet.

Are you sure that you needf more than 25 ports?

Get a Router that can be flashed wit DD-WRT.
