I was wondering if there's a wireless N gigabit router out there that has simple to configure QoS settings and works well on defaults, especially for gaming. Currently, I have a BuffaloTech WZR-HP-G450H Wireless Router that has the MovieEngine QoS. Obviously, this is optimized for video as latency is pretty bad in games when others are streaming video. To get around this, I turned off the MovieEngine QoS and reconnected the HarkingTech HBB1 Broadband Booster, which used the StreamEngine QoS and it makes gaming a lot better, but it isn't configurable. The BuffaloTech router does support DD-WRT, but the configuration is more complex than I want to hassle with right now.

I run Tomato WRT's QoS quite successfully on my Asus RT-N16, but idk how much easier to set up Tomato's QoS is compared DD-WRT's.
