Router will not connect to other computer

I have a Linksys BEFSR41 router that has worked fine for several years. I have two computers hooked up to it and each one can access the internet fine. The problem is that when I go to my network places/view workgroup computers the computers just lock up for about 30 seconds and then it says that the network can not be found. This has always worked in the past. I do not know why all of a sudden it has stopped. I made sure the windows firewall was turned off. I even turned AVG virus off on both computers. I also made sure that each computer had the same domain name. Nothing seems to work. Waht could this possibly be? Thanks!!!
