router w/ firewall combined with zonealarm??

pardon the noob question:

I have a Linksys BEFSX41 router that has a built in firewall. Is there any advantage to running this along with Zonealarm? What's the downside?

Nah, I wouldn't bother running ZA plus the FW on the linksys. Just make sure the FW on the linksys is configured correctly...I usually like to go somewhere else and run a portscan on myself. I used to run ZA on my PC before I got a real FW, and I thought it was pretty annoying. I'd only use ZA if you had no choice/no other protection. Besides that, it wouldn't really accomplish much, since you'd be blocking traffic already on *your* network. It might actually screw stuff up or just make it more complicated than it has to be w/o really accomplishing anything.
