router/switch setup (basic, quick question)

If I had this setup, would comp1 be able to transfer files to comp2 @ 1Gbps (ie in the picture) or would it have to go up thru the router thus limiting it to router ports and decisions?

Also, what would the IP addresses of the pc's be?

It will transfer at 1Gbps. The IP address of the PCs would be in the range of the DHCP server address pool.

sweet, thanks. The DHCP server being the router, I'm guessing.

I added other stuff to the picture incase I had other questions but I think I can make assumptions based on the information you gave me:

Transfers from comp1 (or 2) to the laptop will be limited by wireless speed or by the router ports, which ever is slower, and connections to the modem from comp1 (or 2) will be limited to the router speed (in this case ~100Mb/s), moot point because incoming connection would be 1-25mbps/+ depending, but most likely under 100.
