Router, Switch, Satellite Modem Experts Informations?

I'm computer technian @ U.N PKF of Rokbatt in East Timor. Although my MOS is an infantry, I became a computer technician because I have the most knowledge in computer related stuff. It's all good, expect the fact that I have to be a Network Manager from now on. I have very little knowledge in Networking stuff. I've been surfing all over the web to gater informations that I need.
Does anyone know where I can find detailed(or General) informations about Satellite modem, switch, and a router? Here, we use Adaptive BroadBand's SDM 300A Satellite modem,
Globe Comm. System's EF data Satellite,
Cisco Catalyst 1900 Switch,
and Cisco 1601 Router.
And we have 23 computers networked. I also printed out 300 pages of manuals, informations from Cisco's website. However, I bet there're some more good sites that can give me more informations.
Satellite wise, I need to know what the heck Demodulator, Sweep Freq, Scrambler, Loop Timing, Raw Ber, and etc. means.

Thankx...

You should try to find a book on basic networking. I don't have a good one to suggest, to be honest. The Cisco routers are MUCH more difficult to configure than the average home LAN types. Sometimes being a network expert or computer expert means reading through volumes of material to find out.

One thing that might help you is to see if your internet service provider has advice on how to set up the satellite modem. Start from there, and keep going. Good luck...this isn't going to be easy...

I wish I could get some books, but here in East. Timor, I can't get any books at all.
Internet is the only place where I can get informations.
