Router stops working and must be reset when I set up QoS

I'm running SunRocket as our phone service. I noticed the quality drops considerably (it's pretty horrible) when anyone uses the internet while on the phone. I figured I'd set up QoS in hopes to alleviate the problem (which is what it should do, correct?).

I followed this guide:

I'm running on a WHR-HP-G54 with the v23sp2 firmware.

I could set the uplink/downlink settings, but once I tried adding either a new IP address or MAC address and saving the settings, the router would stop communicating with my computer (or anything for that matter). It would also delete my Uplink/Downlink settings, and it would set all of the LAN ports (bottom part of the page) to Exempt. The router would not communicate with my computer. The only way I could fix it was to reset the router.

I've tried it 3 different times and I've followed the steps carefully. What should I do?

Update: v23 sp3 does the same thing.
 
Update: v24 seems to let me set things up now...recommended settings to make sure our phone gets highest priority out of all our connections?
