Router speed management w/ 2 pc's

I'm having an issue with 2 comps with the speed. It seems one comp is taking most of the bandwidth when downloading something huge and the other comp becomes a crawl. anybody know how to resolve this so both comps could have equal amount of bandwidth or split it somehow?

current router is linksys wrt54g wireless. both are on lan cable connections.
