router specification...is it possible ?

I want to share my cable internet connection

*cable modem outputs using RJ45*

anyone know of a simple router with the following characteristics

- - allows the administrator to block access BASED on web urls or keywords in web urls AND based on IP address.. --

i.e if I have 3 computers in my lan connected to this router and in turn to the cable modem.

then me as admin should be able to specify that

computer A with IP address 192.168.1.3 cannot access web urls containing "perl or php or asp"


computer B with IP address 192.168.1.5 cannot access web urls containing "perl or php or asp"


computer C with IP address 192.168.1.6 CAN access everything.

I came accoss many routers but all of them either can block or unblock the WHOLE lan and not individual computers based on IP addresses.

is it possible ? is such a router available ?


if so can anyone please point me a link where to buy one and where they do international shipping as well ?

which is available for about US$125

can block or unblock urls requested based on keywords.

but it does that for ALL the computers connected in the LAN under it..

if only it can do the "keyword url filtering" on a "computer by computer basis" then it will exactly match my requirement..

Try sonicwall.com. I think they may be able to do what you want.
