router setting for ps3 on psn

is there some kinda of setting a router needs turned on or something...


ever time i play my friend over the psn network he keeps getting disc. i can play anyone else so i know its not any of my settings...


he set on the wireless on his router... any suggestions? he doesnt seem to loose connection on his laptop...

You can have him put the PS3 in the DMZ, but since you can play each other, but just get disconnected, I don't think that's the issue.

Is it an 802.11g router? How far is the PS3 from it? Is there a cordless phone that works in the 2.4GHz band? in the house? Can he run a cat5 cable to the PS3 to rule out a wireless issue?

i told him to move the ps3 to a place where he can test out the wired issue. ill have to ask him if he did that. i didnt think about the wireless phone.. ill have to check into that issue.
