Router Recommendations? Or Google Wifi/Mesh?

I want to upgrade my router and was considering this router since people say its fast, tri-band, and its range is very far. The reviews on TP-Link AC3200 seem like it may be a decent single router setup:

Current Setup:
I'm currently running 3 routers, all running a flavor of aftermarket firmware as repeaters through PowerLine adapters, but lately they have become buggy. My house is about 1600 sq ft, 2 floor, and has some plaster walls so signal gets around but it definitely is challenged. I also have a detached garage so the powerline adapter and a repeater router worked well in this scenario until it became buggy recently. I don't game at all, but we do stream some Netflix here or there, no 4K streaming or anything intense really. I have wifi camera's (That we only use periodically) and some devices around the house but again nothing that is overly demanding.

I'm thinking its time to upgrade to a more powerful router (Single Router), or, go with some type of mesh type network like the Google Wifi setup.

Any tips appreciated.

Was in same situation as you. Decided to build my own router out of an old PC (running pfSense), bought a 24 port switch, and I bought an AC1200 router and put it in WAP mode instead. You can always buy more AC1200 routers and run them in WAP mode if coverage stinks.
