From looking around there are a few ways you can do this..
Clearing the configurations through a telnet session
Follow the steps below:
Telnet into the Cayman gateway.
At the Cayman prompt type, clear.
It will prompt you to confirm with a yes or no.
Type yes.
The gateway will clear the its configurations.
Type restart.
Note: Returning the Cayman to factory defaults changes the IP of the Ethernet LAN interface to 192.168.1.254. You may need to consult the four page pamphlet bundled with your Cayman gateway.
You can gain access to the Cayman via the "Maintenance Console" on the back of the unit

If the Cayman does not respond, you should make sure you have the correct COM port selected.
After making changes to the HyperTerminal properties, be sure to select the call choice in the menu and use disconnect/connect.
Follow the steps below:
Type "clear" at the prompt (without quotes) to clear the box's configuration back to defaults.
It will ask you if you are sure, type "yes" (the entire word).
Type "restart". When the Cayman reboots, it will be set to the factory defaults.
If the Cayman does not respond with a terminal session, you should make sure:
You have the correct COM port selected.
After making changes to the HyperTerminal properties, be sure to select the call choice in the menu and use disconnect/connect.
Verify that the cable you are using is a serial cable. A null modem can look exactly the same and are usually not labeled. The terminal emulation program (i.e. HyperTerminal) will not communicate with the Cayman if it is a null modem cable. This is the most common problem when trying to communicate through the maintenance console.
Make sure that your port settings are correct.
Clearing from startup huum.. this sounds familar..
Connect serially to the maintenance console on the back of the Cayman (instructions above).
Once at the login prompt, physically unplug and plug the gateway back in.
As the Cayman is restarting, you see messages similar to:
Cayman PROM Console v1.6
Cayman-2E serial no. 700115 (bootflags 0x1000000)
STAY IN EPROM
When you see the "STAY IN EPROM?", hit the Y key a few times.
You will now be at the CaymanPROM>.
Type, "erase options"
It will ask you if you are sure? Type yes (the entire word)
The options will be erased, then type "reboot".
Note: Returning the Cayman to factory defaults changes the IP of the Ethernet LAN interface to 192.168.1.254. You may need to consult the four page pamphlet bundled with your Cayman gateway.
