Router Problem (or maybe wireless printer problem?)! (D-link DGL-4500)

I have been using a d-link dgl-4500 for wireless internet access for the past few months with relatively few problems. I have the ATT Motorola DSL modem connected into it, and mostly use it for wireless, but one of my xbox's is wired directly to it. This has all been working fine, but today I purchased an HP c4850 wireless printer and set it up and got it working. Some time during getting it set up, my internet connection went down, but the wireless network connection was still up. I checked my router settings, and the network status said "Establishing..." but would never get past that. Now, I did not change any settings or anything to have it mess up like that, only set up the wireless printer to connect to it. Knowing this, I tried uninstalling/disconnected the wireless printer, but it did not help anything. I tried power cycling my modem/router multiple times, resetting them both back to factory settings, etc. But still no luck. Running out of options, I decided to try to upgrade to the latest version of my routers firmware on the off-chance that it might help. However, my router requires me to have a wired connection to it in order to upgrade the firmware, but when I tried to connect my laptop to it with an ethernet cable, the laptop never establishes a connection either, just like the DSL modem. I tried ports 1-4 and it's the same with all of them. The router recognizes that something is connected, and windows shows is as trying to connect, but eventually it comes up as "limited connectivity" and I can't get to the router's page. When I connect wirelessly, though, the network works fine, but I still have no internet connection and cannot upgrade the firmware since I can't connect through the ethernet cable.

Is anyone out there familiar with something like this? I have owned several routers and have never had one block me out of connecting to it through all wires, but the wireless still work fine. It seems to me like something with the DNS is not allowing connections, whether WAN or LAN, unless they are wireless. I have no idea how to fix this though. I would assume that resetting it back to factory settings would fix it, but that had no effect on it. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Condensed version:
4pm: Internet working fine, wired xbox working fine, wireless connections working fine.
4:30pm: Installed HP wireless printer, printer working over network.
4:35pm: Realized that internet was no longer connected, began trying to figure out why.
8pm: Have reset modem/router multiple times and tried to reset to factory settings with no luck.
11pm: Called att/dlink, got no help from either of them.
11:30pm: Attempted to upgrade firmware, realized that wired connections aren't connecting at all, but are at least attempting to connect, including the WAN connection to the internet.
2am: Still no luck, can't upgrade firmware without a wired connection, posting this message as a last resort before begging best buy to let me exchange my router for an identical one.

I should also mention that I have tried connecting an older router that I no longer use, and it works fine wired and wireless. So it is almost definitely something to do with the dlink router.

My router is set to DHCP, and the printer is set to automatic, but it put it as 192.168.0.183. However the printer is disconnected right now while I'm trying to get this fixed.

You want to manually assign the IP addresses of printers and servers. For the reasons of resets, if you reset the Router, DHCP will give it a new address. Statically assign the Printer to a address in the range that you have DHCP setup. Your might be getting address conflicts.
