basically, im wondering if its time for me to get a new one...
i have to unplug it a couple times a week, usually a few times during whatever day it gives me trouble.

today, i was able to sign on to AIM but i couldnt get any web pages to load on any one of the four machines in the house.
there doesnt appear to be any pattern that i can make out to what is running or what is going on when the connection drops. more often than not, it drops when i am asleep or at work although it has happened when im working on one of the machines.
i dont *seem* to be dropping packets but i cant really explain this problem.

eh.. i work for comcast and noticed my modem was having problems.. gave a call into dispatch and asked them to check the return path on my modem, and they said that theres a nationwide dns problem.. find yourself a public dns server to hold you off temporarily untill comcast is fixed..

also theres a report of a cut fiber line in the Philly area (where i'm located)
