Router is rejecting access from my new wireless pc

I can't get access to the router, been messing with it all day long. It worked for a few minutes but then connection was lost when i tried accessing a secure website?? Maybe it was just a coincidence or maybe it had something to do with security, but no matter what, the connection isn't returning. I tried re-installing drivers, re-installing hardware, but windows xp keeps creating new wireless connection profiles, and what I would hope to do is erase all hardware/network profiles and basically start over from scratch.. Please help!!

Most likely JackMDS is right. I have that same card and the problem is that the antenna is between the steel case and the wall. The signal gets reflected and blocked by the case so it can't get to the router. Try rotating the case and see if that helps.

What are the signal levels that are displayed in the D-link utility. Do you have any 2.4Ghz phones? How far is the router from the card and how many walls does it go through.
